Title 22 › Chapter 18— UNITED STATES INFORMATION AND EDUCATIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMS › Subchapter III— ASSIGNMENT OF SPECIALISTS › § 1452
When a U.S. government employee is sent to work with another government under this chapter, they must still be treated as an officer or employee of the United States and of their original agency and must keep getting pay from that agency. They may also get representation allowances like those in section 4085 if the President sets rules for them. Allowing and paying these benefits from available funds counts as meeting the requirements of section 5536 of title 5.
