§1456 Utilization of Facilities and Personnel of Other Government Agencies; Reimbursement to Agencies; Report to Congress

Summary

The Secretary may use other federal agencies’ staff, buildings, and services to carry out work under this chapter, but must get the President’s approval. When the Secretary uses them, the Secretary must pay from the funds available under this chapter, either up front, later as reimbursement, or by direct transfer. Each report to Congress under section 1439 must list the outside services, facilities, and staff used, give the names and salaries of people who worked during the report period, and show how much was paid to those agencies.
