Title 22 › Chapter 18— UNITED STATES INFORMATION AND EDUCATIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMS › Subchapter V–A— RADIO BROADCASTING TO CUBA › § 1465
The United States will support Cubans’ right to find, receive, and share information by any media across borders under Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Radio broadcasts to Cuba can help give people accurate information, especially about Cuba. Broadcasting that follows U.S. foreign policy and high professional standards is in the national interest. Voice of America already sends American perspectives to Cuba, but more broadcasts with news, commentary, and other information about events in Cuba and elsewhere are needed to help promote freedom there.
