§1641o Time Limitation on Completion of Affairs of Commission

Summary

The Commission must finish settling claims against Russian nationals within two years, and finish all other claims under this subchapter within four years, counted from August 9, 1955 or from the date a law is passed that gives the Commission money for its administrative costs, whichever date comes later. For property taken in Bulgaria and Rumania and claims against Italy (those under paragraph (4) of section 1641b and subsections (b) and (c) of section 1641c), the Commission must finish within two years after July 24, 1968 or after a law provides money for the related administrative costs, whichever is later. For property taken in Hungary (paragraph (5) of section 1641b), the Commission must finish within two years after the deadline set under subsection (c) of section 1641e.
