§1642j Time for Filing of Claims; Notice

Summary
The Commission must publish a notice in the Federal Register that says when people can file claims and what the filing deadline is. It must publish that notice within 60 days after August 8, 1958, or within 60 days after a law gives the Commission money for its administrative costs under this part, whichever comes later. The filing deadline in the notice cannot be more than 12 months after the notice is published.

Within sixty days after August 8, 1958, or of legislation making appropriations to the Commission for payment of administrative expenses incurred in carrying out its functions under this subchapter, whichever date is later, the Commission shall give public notice by publication in the Federal Register of the time when, and the limit of time within which claims may be filed, which limit shall not be more than twelve months after such publication.
