§1643f Action of Commission with Respect to Claims

Title 22 › Chapter 21— SETTLEMENT OF INTERNATIONAL CLAIMS › Subchapter V— CLAIMS AGAINST CUBA AND CHINA › § 1643f

Last updated Apr 5, 2026|Official source

Summary

The Commission must tell each person who filed a claim how much loss it finds and that is covered. It also must send the Secretary of State the amount, the basic facts used to figure it, and the evidence and reasons for the decision. If someone buys a claim, the payment they can get can’t be more than what they actually paid for the claim. That limit applies if the claim is sold more than once and also if the purchase happened after the Commission made its decision.
