The President must make sure Yugoslavia stays independent, is not taking part in a plan for worldwide Communist takeover, and that giving aid is important for U.S. national security. The President must also keep the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the Senate Appropriations Committee, and the Speaker of the House regularly and fully informed about any aid given under this chapter.
