Summary

The agency head in charge of programs under subchapter I must improve how the agency assesses and evaluates the projects and programs it runs under this part. The agency head must work with the appropriate Congressional committees when setting the rules and standards for those evaluations. The second subsection was repealed on December 29, 1981 (Pub. L. 97–113, title VII, §734(a)(1), 95 Stat. 1560).

(a)The Administrator of the agency primarily responsible for administering subchapter I of this chapter is directed to improve the assessment and evaluation of the programs and projects carried out by that agency under this part. The Administrator shall consult with the appropriate committees of the Congress in establishing standards for such evaluations.
