Title 22 › Chapter 32— FOREIGN ASSISTANCE › Subchapter I— INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT › Part I— Declaration of Policy; Development Assistance Authorizations › § 2152j
The United States must promote women’s involvement in preventing, managing, and resolving conflicts abroad and in post-war relief and recovery. It must use diplomacy and programs that do seven things: include women’s perspectives, push other governments to increase women’s roles in peace and security, protect women’s safety and economic standing, ensure equal access to aid and services, collect gender data for early-warning systems, change policies to improve gender equality, and monitor and evaluate these efforts.
