Title 22 › Chapter 7— INTERNATIONAL BUREAUS, CONGRESSES, ETC. › § 262b
U.S. representatives to international organizations may not commit the United States to pay more than 33⅓% of an organization’s budget. If unusual circumstances make a larger U.S. share necessary, they may agree to it only after U.S. representatives or State Department officials consult the Senate and House Appropriations Committees. The limit does not apply to U.S. representatives to Inter‑American organizations, the Caribbean Commission, or the Joint Support program of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
