Title 22 › Chapter 38— DEPARTMENT OF STATE › § 2661
Starting May 15, 1936, the Secretary of State can charge cable and telephone costs to the government account when getting information for others; they must pay back the costs, and money is returned to that account. The Secretary can accept payments for travel and expenses (including translation, printing, expert help, and salaries) when pursuing claims against foreign governments or entities.
