Secretary must offer quarterly briefings to the appropriate congressional committees. The Bureau of Intelligence and Research, with other bureaus as needed, will give the briefings. They must cover topics the committees ask for, current U.S. national-security issues, and any other topics the Secretary finds necessary. Briefings must be held in a secure facility cleared for Top Secret/SCI. They are additional to any briefings given to the appropriate congressional committees, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
