Title 22 › Chapter 38— DEPARTMENT OF STATE › § 2695a
Even if other laws say otherwise, the Secretary of State can require other federal agencies to pay an appropriate fee, surcharge, or reimbursement when the Department provides foreign language translation or interpretation services. Money collected this way must be returned to a Department of State appropriation to cover the cost of those services. Those funds may remain available until expended.
