Title 22 › Chapter 38— DEPARTMENT OF STATE › § 2740
The Secretary and the Administrator can let employees keep Federal Employee Health Benefits while on approved unpaid leave for up to 3 years. If an employee keeps the coverage for more than 365 days, the employee must pay the full premium (both the employee and government shares) for the time past 365 days.
