§276c–1 Reports of Expenditures by Members of American Groups or Delegations and Employees; Consolidated Reports by Congressional Committees; Public Inspection

Summary

Chairmen or senior members of House and Senate delegations to the Interparliamentary Union, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the Canada‑United States and Mexico‑United States interparliamentary groups, or similar groups must file itemized reports with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman (for Senate delegations) or the House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman (for House delegations). Reports must show all local‑currency and appropriated‑fund spending by or for each member or employee and give purposes such as per diem (lodging and meals), transportation, and other expenses. Within 60 days after each regular session begins, those committee chairmen must prepare consolidated reports showing totals, amounts by purpose, and the names and amounts for each person. The Senate chair files with the Secretary of the Senate; the House chair files with the Clerk of the House. The consolidated reports must be open for public inspection.
