§276c–1 Reports of Expenditures by Members of American Groups or Delegations and Employees; Consolidated Reports by Congressional Committees; Public Inspection

Summary

Leaders of U.S. House or Senate delegations to certain interparliamentary groups (for example, the Interparliamentary Union, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, and the Canada–U.S. and Mexico–U.S. interparliamentary groups) must file itemized expense reports with the chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee or the chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The reports must list every local‑currency or appropriated‑fund payment made by or for each member or employee and say the purpose (such as per diem, transportation, or other expenses). Within sixty days after each regular session begins, those two committee chairs must prepare consolidated reports showing totals, amounts by purpose, and amounts by person, file them with the Secretary of the Senate or the Clerk of the House, and make them available for the public to inspect.
