Title 22 › Chapter 7— INTERNATIONAL BUREAUS, CONGRESSES, ETC. › § 276c–7
The Secretary can support placing more U.S. citizens in internships at the United Nations and other international organizations by giving grants to colleges and students. The Secretary of State must report to the appropriate congressional committees within 90 days after December 22, 2023, showing how many U.S. citizens are in internship programs, where they serve, and what grants or programs pay for them. Eligible people are U.S. citizens who are enrolled in or who earned a degree within two years from a college (including certain foreign colleges). The Department may receive $1,500,000 for fiscal year 2024 to run the grant program.
