The U.S. Governor at the Bank may subscribe for 1,104,420 additional shares on behalf of the United States. The United States can only take those shares if Congress provides the money ahead of time through appropriations laws. Congress may provide up to $13,323,173,083 to pay for that increase, with no fiscal year limit, and the money would be paid by the Secretary of the Treasury. Of that total, $532,929,240 is for paid-in shares and $12,790,243,843 is for callable shares.
