Title 22 › Chapter 7— INTERNATIONAL BUREAUS, CONGRESSES, ETC. › Subchapter XXIII— UNITED STATES AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION › § 290h–2
The Foundation must help people in African countries grow, reach their goals, and have better, more productive lives. It will do this by building friendship with the United States, backing local self-help projects for community development, helping more Africans take part in their own development, and encouraging local development organizations that serve the poor. The Foundation must work with local African groups that represent the poor and, as much as possible, work together with the U.S. government and other private, regional, and international organizations.
