Title 22 › Chapter 8— FOREIGN SERVICE BUILDINGS › § 294
Properties bought under this chapter or before May 7, 1926 for use by U.S. diplomatic and consular missions abroad can be used as government offices, residences, or both. Contracts to buy, lease, build, alter, or repair those properties can be made and carried out without following some U.S. contracting rules, including section 3324(a) and (b) of title 31.
