Title 22 › Chapter 48A— TAIWAN ENHANCED RESILIENCE › Subchapter III— INCLUSION OF TAIWAN IN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS › § 3372
Within 180 days after December 23, 2022, the Secretary of State must give Congress a plan to help Taiwan join and take part in a set of international organizations and to respond to pressure from the PRC to force the "One‑China Principle" on others. The plan must assess how the PRC pressures governments, international groups, businesses, and civil society; review other countries’ policies to find partners; analyze which organizations are good places for Taiwan to participate; propose ways to expand ties with countries that have strengthened relations with Taiwan; look at examples where Taiwan already participates and whether that has improved those organizations; and list no more than 20 international organizations to prioritize for the three‑year period after December 23, 2022, with the diplomatic strategies and coalitions the U.S. will use. The strategy must be classified, but it can include an unclassified summary. The U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and other officials must actively support Taiwan’s meaningful participation in appropriate international organizations.
