Title 22 › Chapter 48A— TAIWAN ENHANCED RESILIENCE › Subchapter III— INCLUSION OF TAIWAN IN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS › § 3373
Requires the Secretary of State, working with the Secretaries of Commerce and Transportation, to push for Taiwan to take part in ICAO meetings, conferences, working groups, and other activities. The U.S. representative to ICAO must use the United States’ voice and vote to support Taiwan’s meaningful participation and try to get a vote at the next ICAO triennial assembly on Taiwan’s participation. Says Taiwan is a global aviation leader and that its exclusion (partly due to pressure from the People’s Republic of China) harms aviation safety. The Secretary of State must send an unclassified report to relevant Senate and House committees not later than 90 days after December 23, 2022, and by April 1 each year for the next 6 years, describing the plan, actions taken, and next steps.
