Council members and Institute Fellows must avoid any real or apparent conflict of interest when they do Institute work. They must not use their position for personal gain, give special treatment to anyone, make biased recommendations or decisions about Institute activities, misuse government property or nonpublic official information, or do anything that hurts public trust in the Institute.
