Title 22 › Chapter 59— FASCELL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM › § 4903
Up to 100 fellowships can be offered each year, and at least 15 had to be given in fiscal year 1993. The Board sets each Fellow’s pay based on the job and the person’s experience, and each fellowship lasts between one and two years. Fellows can get training at the George P. Shultz National Foreign Affairs Training Center or another fitting place. Under rules from the Secretary of State, housing abroad must be provided for Fellows (and family when needed), and travel costs between the United States and the country of service must be paid (including family travel when appropriate). Those housing and travel rules do not start until October 1, 1986.
