Says the U.S. should work with other major industrial countries to continue coordinating money, budget, and economic policies begun by the Plaza Agreement of September 1985. It calls for U.S. policies and exchange rates that support fair, lasting trade and capital balances and stable prices with growth, allows joint action in currency markets to smooth changes, and makes the President more responsible for trade competitiveness.
