Summary

Within 1 year of China's WTO accession protocol taking effect, and annually thereafter, the Trade Representative must report to Congress on China's compliance with its accession commitments, including any bilateral U.S. commitments, and solicit public input via the Federal Register and a public hearing.

(a)Not later than 1 year after the entry into force of the Protocol of Accession of the People’s Republic of China to the WTO, and annually thereafter, the Trade Representative shall submit a report to Congress on compliance by the People’s Republic of China with commitments made in connection with its accession to the World Trade Organization, including both multilateral commitments and any bilateral commitments made to the United States.
(b)In preparing the report described in subsection (a), the Trade Representative shall seek public participation by publishing a notice in the Federal Register and holding a public hearing.
