§6984 Authorization of Appropriations

Summary

Money can be given to the Secretary of Commerce for the program in section 6981(a), to the Secretary of Labor for the program in section 6981(b), and to the Secretary of State for the program in section 6981(c). The amount can be whatever is needed for fiscal year 2001, and each fiscal year thereafter. Unless this chapter says otherwise, these funds may be used even if another law would normally stop it.

Title 22, §6984

(a)There are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary of Commerce to carry out the program described in section 6981(a) of this title such sums as may be necessary for fiscal year 2001, and each fiscal year thereafter.
(b)There are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary of Labor to carry out the program described in section 6981(b) of this title such sums as may be necessary for fiscal year 2001, and each fiscal year thereafter.
(c)There are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary of State to carry out the program described in section 6981(c) of this title such sums as may be necessary for fiscal year 2001, and each fiscal year thereafter.
(d)Except as provided in this chapter, funds may be made available to carry out the purposes of this part notwithstanding any other provision of law.
