Summary

Make every U.S. embassy, consulate, and mission name one employee to take reports from anyone who was a victim of a severe form of trafficking in the United States, or from people with information about such victims. That employee must send the reports to the Department of Justice, the Department of Labor, the Department of Homeland Security, and any other relevant federal agencies so those agencies can set up a plan to respond. That employee should also, with the victim’s permission and without putting the victim at risk, work with the victim’s home country government or local groups there to help the victim get extra support.
