Title 22 › Chapter 79— TRADE SANCTIONS REFORM AND EXPORT ENHANCEMENT › § 7204
Unilateral agricultural or medical sanctions must end no later than 2 years after they begin unless two things happen. At least 60 days before they would end, the President must send Congress a report asking to continue the sanction for up to 2 more years, and Congress must pass and enact a joint resolution approving that report.
