§7206 Congressional Procedures

Summary
Send any report named in 7202(a)(1) or 7204(1) to the proper committees in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. If a joint resolution starts in the Senate, it must go to the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. If it starts in the House, it must go to the House Committee on International Relations. That committee cannot report the joint resolution until the eighth session day of Congress after it was introduced.

Foreign Relations and Intercourse — Source: USLM XML via OLRC
(a)A report described in section 7202(a)(1) or 7204(1) of this title shall be referred to the appropriate committee or committees of the House of Representatives and to the appropriate committee or committees of the Senate.
(b)(1)A joint resolution introduced in the Senate shall be referred to the Committee on Foreign Relations, and a joint resolution introduced in the House of Representatives shall be referred to the Committee on International Relations.
(2)A joint resolution referred to in paragraph (1) may not be reported before the eighth session day of Congress after the introduction of the joint resolution.
