Title 22 › Chapter 83— UNITED STATES LEADERSHIP AGAINST HIV/AIDS, TUBERCULOSIS, AND MALARIA › § 7603
Requires the United States to boost its leadership and improve the global fight against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, and similar preventable infectious diseases. It directs the creation of coordinated, integrated 5‑year global plans that build on past progress, align U.S. work with partner countries and other groups, and help countries build local capacity for lasting results. It increases funding for country and international programs, steps up prevention, expands access to treatment and care (with special attention to girls and women), encourages work with private companies and public‑private partnerships, supports development of vaccines, microbicides, and better tests, and helps partner countries strengthen health systems, health workers, and infrastructure.
