Gives simple meanings for words used in this part. It tells what certain key terms mean so people read the rules the same way. "Agricultural commodity" — means what 7 U.S.C. 5602 calls an agricultural commodity. "Appropriate congressional committees" — means the committees named in section 14 of the Iran Sanctions Act of 1996 (Public Law 104–172; 50 U.S.C. 1701 note), as changed by section 102 of this Act. "Executive agency" — means what 41 U.S.C. 133 calls an executive agency. "Family member" — a spouse, child, parent, sibling, grandchild, or grandparent. "Iranian diplomat or representative…" — means those described in section 14 of the Iran Sanctions Act. "Knowingly" — means actually knew or should have known. "Medical device" and "medicine" — mean what 21 U.S.C. 321 calls a device and a drug. "State" — means the 50 States, DC, Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and other U.S. territories or possessions. "United States person" — means a person who is a U.S. citizen, resident, or national (see section 1101(a) of title 8) and any entity set up under U.S. or State law.
