Title 22 › Chapter 92— COMPREHENSIVE IRAN SANCTIONS, ACCOUNTABILITY, AND DIVESTMENT › Subchapter I— SANCTIONS › § 8514b
The President must apply the sanctions named in section 8514(c) to every person on a special list. Within 90 days after August 10, 2012, the President must send Congress a list of people who, on or after June 12, 2009, took part in censorship or similar actions against Iran that either stop or punish Iranians for speaking or gathering, or that limit access to print or broadcast media, including helping the Iranian government or its controlled entities jam or block international signals. The President must update the list when required under section 8514(b)(2)(A) and as new information becomes available. The list must be unclassified (it can include a classified annex). The unclassified part must be made public and posted on the Department of the Treasury and Department of State websites.
