Summary

Defines two terms used in this chapter. "Appropriate congressional committees" means these four Senate committees: the Committee on Appropriations, the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Relations, and the Select Committee on Intelligence; and these four House committees: the Committee on Appropriations, the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. "Qualitative military edge" is defined in section 2776(h)(2) of this title.

In this chapter:

(1)The term “appropriate congressional committees” means—

(A)the Committee on Appropriations, the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Relations, and the Select Committee on Intelligence of the Senate; and

(B)the Committee on Appropriations, the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives.
