Last updated Apr 5, 2026|Official source

Summary

Congress says the United States should stop Iran from oppressing its people because Iran’s government threatens U.S. interests and world peace by committing large-scale human-rights abuses. The United States should publicly support Iranians seeking basic freedoms and a democratic system, help them get and share information safely online and in other media, and stop Iran from jamming or blocking international satellite broadcasts.
