Title 22 › Chapter 96— SOVEREIGNTY, INTEGRITY, DEMOCRACY, AND ECONOMIC STABILITY OF UKRAINE › § 8904
Require the Secretary of State, working with the Attorney General and the Treasury Secretary, to help Ukraine quickly find, protect, and get back money or property tied to corruption by Viktor Yanukovych, his family, other past or present Ukrainian officials, or their helpers, in any country. They must use appropriate programs, for example the Department of Justice’s Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Initiative. All recovery work must be coordinated with relevant bilateral and multilateral groups, such as the Egmont Group, the World Bank’s Stolen Asset Recovery effort, the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, the Camden Asset Recovery Inter‑Agency Network, and INTERPOL’s Global Focal Point. The Secretary of State and Attorney General must also give fast investigative help and training to Ukraine, the European Union, and other countries. The Treasury Secretary must ensure FinCEN helps under section 314(a) of the USA PATRIOT Act (31 U.S.C. 5311 note).
