Title 22 › Chapter 99— NORTH KOREA SANCTIONS AND POLICY ENHANCEMENT › Subchapter I— INVESTIGATIONS, PROHIBITED CONDUCT, AND PENALTIES › § 9213
Within 180 days after February 18, 2016, and again from time to time after that, the President must brief the relevant congressional committees about what the government is doing to carry out this chapter. Also within 180 days after February 18, 2016, the Secretary of State must lead a full review with other government agencies and send Congress a detailed report on U.S. policy toward North Korea. The report must cover current policies and possible alternatives, including North Korea’s weapons and missile programs, serious human-rights abuses, and major actions that harm cybersecurity, and it must include any recommended new laws or government steps the Secretary thinks are needed.
