Title 22 › Chapter 101— COUNTERING IRAN’S DESTABILIZING ACTIVITIES › § 9407
By August 2, 2022, the President must review everyone on the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control list of specially designated nationals and blocked persons for links to Iran. The review must check if a person’s actions help Iran’s ballistic missile program or involve Iran’s support for international terrorism, and whether sanctions under Executive Order No. 13382 or Executive Order No. 13224 apply. If the President finds those sanctions apply, the President must either impose the sanctions under the applicable Executive Order or use the waiver power in section 9411.
