Title 22 › Chapter 103— BETTER UTILIZATION OF INVESTMENTS LEADING TO DEVELOPMENT › Subchapter I— ESTABLISHMENT › § 9614

Last updated Apr 18, 2026|Official source

Summary

The Board must create an open, independent accountability office. That office must each year check and report to the Board and Congress on how well the Corporation follows environmental, social, labor, human-rights, and transparency standards that match its legal duties. It must also offer a place to raise and resolve concerns about specific Corporation-funded projects and give advice on projects, policies, and practices. Not later than 90 days after December 18, 2025, the Board must send a report to the appropriate congressional committees describing any efficiencies from moving the office’s work into the Corporation’s Office of the Inspector General under section 1414. The report must explain how the Inspector General would build the internal environmental, social, and governance expertise to replace the office’s expertise.
