Title 25 › Chapter 15— CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS OF INDIANS › Subchapter III— JURISDICTION OVER CRIMINAL AND CIVIL ACTIONS › § 1324
The United States allows the people of any State to change their State constitution or laws, even if their admission act says otherwise, to remove legal barriers so the State can take over civil or criminal legal authority under this subchapter. The subchapter won’t apply to that State’s takeover until the people have made those constitutional or statutory changes.
