Title 25 › Chapter 21— INDIAN CHILD WELFARE › Subchapter I— CHILD CUSTODY PROCEEDINGS › § 1919
States and Indian tribes can agree on care and custody of Indian children, and can share or transfer custody control for individual cases. Either party can cancel an agreement with 180 days written notice; court cases begun continue unless the agreement says otherwise.
