Title 25 › Chapter 24— INDIAN LAND CONSOLIDATION › § 2215
Secretary must set up an Acquisition Fund to use appropriated money under section 2212 and to collect money from leases, permits, resource sales, or payments tied to interests acquired under section 2212. Those proceeds must go into the Fund. When Congress specifies in advance in appropriations laws, the Fund can buy fractional or undivided interests in trust or restricted land, and it must buy interests on the reservation where the income came from. The Secretary may use the Fund to buy some or all interests in parcels under section 2204.
