The Secretary of the Interior must publish an alcohol and substance abuse newsletter, working with the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Secretary of Education. The newsletter reports on alcohol and substance abuse projects and programs for Indian people. It must highlight programs the Interior Secretary finds exemplary and include enough information so readers can get more details. The newsletter is issued once each calendar quarter and sent free to schools, tribal offices, Bureau of Indian Affairs and Indian Health Service offices and programs, and other groups that serve Indian people. Funding was authorized at $500,000 for fiscal year 1993 and whatever sums are needed for each year 1994 through 2000.
