Title 25 › Chapter 7A— PROMOTION OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC WELFARE › § 310
Requires the Secretary of the Interior, if money is available, to make a 30-year agreement with the College of Santa Fe in New Mexico. The deal must let the Institute of American Indian and Alaska Native Culture and Arts Development use College educational space and support joint postsecondary fine arts and museum programs run through the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The Secretary must also improve the Institute’s facilities at the College. These actions take effect on October 1, 1984. The Secretary, through the Bureau of Indian Affairs, must study whether a museum is needed for the Institute, whether building one is practical, and whether it should be near the College. The study and recommendations must be sent to Congress by February 1, 1985. If a museum is recommended and the College is chosen, any construction agreement must assure that suitable land at the College will be provided without charge to the Federal Government.
