Title 25 › Chapter 10— DESCENT AND DISTRIBUTION; HEIRS OF ALLOTTEE › § 371
Treat children as lawful heirs when an Indian man and woman live together as husband and wife under their tribal custom. Also, any Indian child born out of wedlock must be treated as the father's legitimate child for inheriting land. This does not apply to land called the "Cherokee Outlet."
