Title 25 › Chapter 11— IRRIGATION OF ALLOTTED LANDS › § 381
When water is needed to irrigate reservation land so it can be farmed, the Secretary of the Interior can make rules to make sure the water is shared fairly and equally among the Indians living on that reservation. No riverfront landowner may take or give water in a way that harms another riverfront landowner’s rights.
