Money from oil and gas rentals, royalties, and bonuses on Executive‑order Indian lands must be deposited in the U.S. Treasury for the tribe and earn 4% annually. Congress may appropriate the money for supervising oil and gas or for the tribe’s benefit; the tribe must be consulted, and per‑capita payments require an Act of Congress.
