Title 25 › Chapter 12— LEASE, SALE, OR SURRENDER OF ALLOTTED OR UNALLOTTED LANDS › § 403b
Restricted Indian land in Washington can be leased for religious, school, recreational, business, or public uses if the individual Indian, group of Indians, or Indian tribe gives written permission. Leases can last up to 25 years, must follow rules set by the Secretary of the Interior, and cannot be used to take or mine natural resources; examples of allowed uses include airports, research stations, stockyards, warehouses, and grain elevators.
