Title 25 › Chapter 46— INDIAN SELF-DETERMINATION AND EDUCATION ASSISTANCE › § 5302
Requires the federal government to give Indian people the largest possible role in running education and other federal services in their communities so those services match local needs. Commits the United States to move from federal control to real tribal participation in planning and managing programs, and to help tribes build strong governments, run quality programs, and grow their local economies. Also makes it a national goal to provide enough high-quality education and opportunities so Indian children can succeed and be self-reliant.
