Title 25 › Chapter 46— INDIAN SELF-DETERMINATION AND EDUCATION ASSISTANCE › Subchapter VII— NATIONAL FUND FOR EXCELLENCE IN AMERICAN INDIAN EDUCATION › § 5422
For five years after the Foundation starts, the Secretary can give staff, office space, and other admin help, and can give money to cover Board members’ travel. The Secretary must make the Foundation pay back the costs of those services and the travel money. The money paid back must go into the U.S. Treasury and be credited to the same government accounts that were charged for those costs. After the five years, the Secretary may still offer space and needed support if there is room and the Foundation pays the costs.
