Defines key words used in the chapter. "Confer" means what section 1660d says. "Databases" includes NCIC, CODIS, the Next Generation Identification System, and other systems used for missing or murdered Indian cases, including ViCAP and NamUs. "Indian" means a member of an Indian Tribe. "Indian country" is as in 18 U.S.C. 1151; "Indian land" as in 25 U.S.C. 4302; "Indian Tribe" as in 25 U.S.C. 5304. "Law enforcement agency" means Tribal, Federal, State, or local agencies.
